streetsofcalcutta: The photographs of Julius Shulman were a blessing to the movement of architectural Modernism. They show the buildings, often perceived by traditionalists as brutal monstrosities of concrete, as the works of art which they were conceived to be. He adds the Modernist house to the American Dream of the 1950s and 60s with a focus on domesticating what was seen as a very cosmopolitan movement.
